The cooperative lender National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) congratulated the nation on the occasion of World Food Day 2022 and appealed to co-ops to ensure food for everyone.
The social media handle of NCDC wrote, “Food is essential for everyone so on this #WorldFoodDay2022, we would like to thank our farmers and #cooperatives engaged in agricultural and allied activities working relentlessly to ensure food to the planet”.
The theme for World Food Day 2022 is Leave NO ONE behind.
Former Hungarian Minister of Agriculture and Food Dr Pal Romany suggested the establishment of World Food Day in November 1979. It is celebrated in more than 150 countries around the world.
