On the occasion of Golden Jubilee year, Pune based Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank organized a “Banking Chat” program recently, which was attended by the senior cooperators associated with local co-operative banks including MSC Bank Chairman Vidyadhar Anaskar.
Cosmos Bank Chairman Milind Kale, Kalyan Janata Sahakari Bank CEO Atul Khirwadkar, RBI Central Bank Director Satish Marathe, Pune People’s Cooperative Bank Chairman Subhash Mohite, Anil Gadve, Chairman, Vishweshwar Sahakari Bank and others were present on the occasion.
While addressing the participants, Anaskar highlighted the details of the meeting organized by Nafcub at Vigyan Bhawan, which was inaugurated by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. Co-op banks should try to bring youth into the management of the bank.
In his speech, Marathe emphasized many recent developments of significance in the cooperative banking sector. Cosmos Bank Chairman Miling Kale stressed the importance of youth participating in the cooperative movement.
Atul Khirwadkar, Chief Executive Officer, Kalyan Janata Sahakari Bank, said the government has been trying to merge weak banks with a view to reducing the number of banks in the country.
