Two functionaries of Punjab cooperative federation Markfed have been removed from jobs for the bunging of wheat stock and indulging in other irregularities, reports PTI.
The scam came to light following the physical verification of the wheat stock.The accused allegedly siphoned off 23,932 wheat bags along with other materials such as edible and non-edible products.
A source is quoted saying the decision has been taken under Rules in Markfed Punishment and Appeal Rules 1990.
