Union Minister of State for Cooperation B.L. Verma recently visited Ganderbal in the Kashmir Valley and observed the functioning of the Tulmulla Milk Producers Dairy Cooperative Society, reports a news outlet.
The minister also visited several units of the Milk Producers Dairy Cooperative Society. In his remarks on the occasion, the minister praised the cooperative society for carrying out a range of successful activities and urged the society to expand its membership base and develop the capacity to generate employment opportunities.
The minister also urged cooperative functionaries to address the problems faced by the poorer sections of society through spreading the co-operative movement.
