HT reports forced their entry into a Cooperative Bank branch in Gharuan in Mohali, Punjab, and made away with Rs 18 lakh in cash recently.
Police say there was no security guard at the bank at the time of the theft.
According to local police officials, they lodged an FIR at the Gharuan police post on the complaint of the branch manager and began an investigation to nab the criminals.
