Mother Dairy has decided to vend milk and other milk products in the National Capital Region through what it calls eco-friendly delivery van ‘ Kamdhenu’ in a bid to save on plastic.
The milk company’s policy designed not to harm the natural environment has coincided with the world environment day.
It needs mention that Mother Dairy sells most of milk in plastic bags.
The new delivery vans will be propelled by CNG and move around bringing milk to consumers’ homes.
A source close to Mother dairy claims the company’s new policy will have drastically reduced the use of plastics in the country’s capital.
