Dileep Sanghani led GUJCOMASOL has broken all past records so far as procurement of gram in Gujarat is concerned. Sanghani’s team is actively motivating farmers to bring their produce to the procurement centres.

This has led to more than 1.77 lakh farmers availing the price benefits. The effort to enlist more farmers is on, said Sanghani, who is also IFFCO Chairman and NCUI President.

According to Nafed the total gram or chana procurement from the state stood at 3.5 lakh MT with around 1.77 lakh of the 3.28 lakh registered farmers having been covered, reports the daily Indian Express.

The Central government has fixed the minimum support price (MSP) of gram at Rs 5,230 per quintal and at this rate, the procurement from Gujarat so far is worth Rs 1,833 crore.
