Nabard Gujarat has conceived the idea of ‘Model Cooperative village’. The objective is to ensure that all financial needs and even many non-financial needs of every household in the model village are met through PACS.
Union Minister for Home & Cooperation, Amit Shah liked the idea when it was presented before him and agreed to launch it on Sunday.
Gujarat State Coop Bank has joined hands with Nabard to launch a Pilot in the state. About 20 thousand people witnessed the event physically and many from the districts were connected visually. And distt to join virtually.
The Gujarat State Cooperative Bank is a Scheduled Bank having Head Office located in Ahmedabad. As an Apex bank it serves the credit and financial needs of nearly 28 Lakhs farmers of 8535 PACS through the 18 District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs).
