Media reports say Registrar Cooperative Societies, J&K, Shafqat Iqbal held recently a review meeting to examine the level of progress gained in the sanctioned schemes, activities, and works under Cooperative Societies, Capex Budget 2021-22.
Underlining the importance of democracy in the cooperative sector, the registrar asked his subordinates to ensure, the few co-op societies that are yet to go to the polls take steps to restore democracy as soon as possible.
He also urged cooperative officials to make sincere efforts to inform people about various schemes and activities of the Cooperative Department.
