The Pune District Cooperative Bank election is underway and the final list of candidates after scrutiny has been made public on Wednesday. Out of 21 seats of the Board of Directors, 6 have been elected unopposed.

The names are Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil, MLA Sangram Thopate, Revannath Darvatkar, MLA Sanjay Jagtap, and others.

After scrutiny 158 nominations are left. The interested candidates can withdraw their nomination papers from 8 December to 22nd December 2021. The election is slated for 2nd January.

Meanwhile, according to the list, two candidates are left in the fray against the outgoing Chairman Ramesh Thorat. But it is being said that Thorat’s rivals will withdraw their names.
