The star co-operator Dr. Chandra Pal Singh Yadav is in town, meeting people and thanking them for their support in the recently held election of ICA Asia-Pacific, which saw him win the top position in the region.
Yadav paid a visit to IFFCO MD, Dr. U S Awasthi, who lent unstinted support to the latter’s candidature at the international cooperative forum. “Tarun, get him elected at all costs; was what the MD saheb told me while we were leaving for Seoul”, recalls Tarun Bhargava who was the Chief Campaigner of Chandra Pal.
Welcoming Chandra Pal at his office the IFFCO MD tweeted “Today, I welcomed the newly elected @ICAAPAC President Dr. Chandrapal Yadav @drcsinghyadav at #IFFCO Sadan & congratulated him for winning elections against Japanese candidate at ICA @icacoop General Assembly in Seol.
It bears recall that Chandra Pal trounced his opponent from Japan by a margin of 102 votes, an unheard-of thing. He thanked not only Indian co-operators but also those from the Asia Pacific regions who turned out in large numbers to support him.
