J&K: TRIFED blueprint for uplifting 2.5 lac tribal families

The apex body of tribal co-ops, TRIFED is preparing a mega plan to cover Jammu and Kashmir under various schemes, as revealed by a tweet by its MD Pravir Krishna.

Trifed MD Pravir Krishna tweeted “Happy to welcome Shahid Chaudhary Secretary, Tribal Affairs Govt of Jammu & Kashmir to the TRIFED FAMILY. A Blueprint for the promotion of Tribal Enterprise in the state to benefit 2.5 lac tribal families planned.”

The main focus is to provide tribal artisans, farmers, artists and other skilled workers with livelihood support.

Lieutenant Governor J&K Manoj Sinha is taking a keen interest in the extension of schemes to the union territory. Projects worth Rs. 50 crores have been approved for Jammu and Kashmir.
