J&K: Tomar launches Nafed’s Kashmiri Canned Cherries

During his tour to Srinagar on Thursday, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar awarded certificates of incorporation to 10 FPOs created by the agri cooperative Nafed.

On the occasion, Tomar also launched processed Canned Cherries under the Nafed brand procured from farmers in Kashmir.

Tomar wrote on his Twitter wall, “Visited the Center of Excellence for Horticulture in Srinagar today under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. In the function organized on this occasion, certificates were also given to the Farmers Producer Association (#FPO) formed by the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (Nafed).”

MoS Kailash Chaudhary, Shobha Karandlaje, Nafed MD Sanjeev Chadha, and others were present on the occasion.
