The central govt has said depositors of banks under moratorium like Punjab & Maharashtra Cooperative (PMC) Bank will get up to Rs 5 lakh back by the end of November, media reports say.

The government has notified the amendment to the DICGC Act. It is worth mentioning that parliament passed the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2021 last month.

As per the notification, Rs 5 lakh would be given by the Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC). The provisions of the Act has come into force from 1st September, 2021.

Because of RBI’s negligence, gullible, mainly senior citizens who have put their entire life savings will now suffer for rest of their life. Central Government may please help to save their lives.

All eye wash. Neither RBI wants to come clear or spell out the true facts, such vague information is made public.
RBI is very clever to cover up its mes-deeds as no common man can question its acts.
Ultimately it is the depositors hard earned money in question and RBI is not ensuring justice to depositors who have put their life long earned hard money trusting PMC bank.
    God Save the Depositors 🙏🙏

Will the 5 lakhs be given or given per card. Per pan card is so ridiculous. Current account and personal account should be treated differently

And what about the rest of the money ?

What about the assets of hdil promoters and their money send abroad.
Aircraft and flats gold and malls owned by them.
Wadwans have more assets and properties than bank depositers money.
Did RBI auction the above or govt staff making money on this too.
RBI auditors houses to be raided.
Centurion bank should refund the depositers money immediately.
