The former bosses of Fishcopfed led by its former Chairman Prakash Lonare and Managing Director B K Mishra made a courtesy call on the Union Minister of State for Cooperation B L Verma at his Delhi residence on Friday.
Several other representatives from other fishery cooperatives were also present on the occasion. Government Nominee in Nafed, Ashok Thakur also accompanied the delegation.
Soon after the meeting, Verma took to social media to share the details with photos. He wrote, “NAFED’s Government Nominee Mr Ashok Thakur BJP and Mr Prakash Lonare, the national head of Sahakar Bharati Machimar Co-operative Society Cell visited me at my residence. We had meaningful discussions about current developments in the field of cooperatives.”
Both Lonare and Thakur have political affiliation with BJP.
