Vetapalem Cooperative Credit Society Ltd (VCCSL) in Andhra Pradesh has not been making payments of matured deposits for the last several months, reports New Indian Express.
Some of the functionaries including the secretary of the society have gone traceless. The society, set up about 80 years ago, claims deposits worth Rs 30 to 35 crore.
The affected depositors lodged a complaint with the local police and urged the authorities to ensure justice for them.
