On the occasion of World Environment Day, the fertilizer cooperative IFFCO’s first lot of Nano Urea Liquid was dispatched from its Kalol unit in Gujarat to Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.

The truck was flagged off by its Vice-Chairman Dileep Sanghani in the presence of Kalol Unit head D G Inamdar and other officials.

Soon after sharing the news through social media, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi wrote, “Today on #WorldEnvironmentDay , #IFFCO’s commitment for a green planet took another step as we dispatched the 1st truck of #IFFCONanoUrea for farmers. A Sustainable Solution for Plant Nutrition with higher Nutrient Use Efficiency. Reduces soil, water & air pollution. #RestoreEarth”.

IFFCO Vice-Chairman Dileep Sanghani also tweeted on the occasion, “Today on the occasion of World Environment, the first lot of IFFCO’s Nano Urea was sent to Uttar Pradesh. Pradesh. Along with promoting the environment, it will be helpful in improving the quality of ground water, reducing the use of urea in the soil, protecting the crop from pests as well as increasing the quality of the product”.

The scientist who helped develop Nano products Dr Ramesh Raliya wrote, It was a great pleasure to witness this moment of shipping #nanofertilizer: #IFFCONanoUrea for farmers. This will not only benefit farmers, but also soil, air & water: environment. Thanks to Hon’ble @drusawasthi ji for your guidance, leadership & support to translate this product for India”.

IFFCO’s Nano Urea Liquid has been found to be effective as it increases the production with improved nutritional quality. It will also have a huge positive impact on the quality of underground water, a very significant reduction in global warming with an impact on climate change and sustainable development.

Translation of the idea of Nano Urea Liquid into reality for farmers use will boost balanced nutrition programs by reducing the excess use of Urea application in the soil. The excess urea causes environmental pollution, harms soil health, and makes plants more susceptible for disease & insect infestation, delayed maturity of the crop & production loss. The Nano Urea Liquid makes the crops stronger, healthier and protects them from lodging effects, claimed the IFFCO official.

It bears recall that, on the occasion of the IFFCO 50th AGM, Awasthi introduced the Nano urea liquid before a gathering of more than 800delegates connected through digital mode on Monday.

The IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid is easy on the pocket of farmers and will be effective in increasing farmers income. A 500 ml bottle of IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid will replace at least one bag of conventional Urea.

Hence, it will reduce the input cost to farmers. Due to the small size of Nano Urea Liquid, it’s bottle can be kept in the pocket and will significantly bring down the cost of logistics and warehousing as well.
