Three secretaries and data entry operators (DEOs) of PACS in Jagatsinghpur in Odisha have been suspended for indulging in irregularities in paddy sales across Jagatsinghpur district, reports Express News Service.
District authorities inquired into the scam when farmers staged demonstrations alleging faulty tokens for paddy sale. It is said 4,767 farmers could not sell their produce despite possessing tokens.
Due to faulty tokens a large number of farmers had to sell their produce to local agents below the MSP prices.
