A supplementary charge-sheet has been filed against Surjeet Singh, the then chairman-cum-MD of J&K based Rural Development Multipurpose Cooperative and his wife Jyoti Pawar.
The duo is accused of defrauding people of Rs 2.93 crore in the name of a co-operative promising higher rate of interest.
An investigation revealed that the accused had violated all norms and principles while collecting money from the public. Scores of complaints had been received against the accused.
