Uttar Pradesh based Varanasi Zila Sahkari Bank has announced plans to give locker facilities to its customers at the rate of Rs 250 per year. The process of taking the locker is the same as in other banks.
Ajay Rai, Chairman of the DCCB claimed that the bank’s rate for lockers are lower than other banks in the area. The lockers are available at different rates of Rs 250, 350 and 500 per year, he added.
Rai, who is also on the Board of Kribhco is a popular cooperative leader in the area due to his readiness to help the farmers, claimed his associates.
A customer has to give a GST of 18 percent extra for availing the facilities of locker. At present 904 people are availing the benefit of locker facility of the bank.
