Uttar Pradesh State Cooperative Bank is all set to open 13 new branches in the state Nabard has already approved of the decision and now the proposal has been sent to the Reserve Bank of India.
MVS Ramireddy, Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation Department said, the RBI recommendation is also expected to be received soon. With the opening of 13 new branches, UPCB will have 40 branches in the state. With the expansion of branches, banking services of the cooperative sector will reach more and more people of the state.
There are 50 DCCBs in the state and several DCCBs are grappling with the financial difficulties.
