The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted an inspection at the Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS) headquarters in Kozhikode on Monday, media reports say.
Rameshan Paleri, the Chairman of the co-op body has denied any search or raid. Media reports quote Paleri saying two ED officers did come and asked a few questions and checked the IT statement of the co-op.
“There has been no search or raid in our offices,” the Chairman said.
It bears recall that ED has been raiding the premises of Chief Minister’s Additional Private Secretary CM Raveendran and it suspected that the latter has some connection with ULCCS.
ULCCS is an ace labour cooperative in the country with a chequered history.
