Explaining the withdrawal of nominations from two of their candidates Jyotindra Mehta and S R Satishchandra, Sahakar Bharati has issued a statement Saturday evening, citing its desire to have an unanimous elections for the apex co-op body in the country, NCUI.
Dr Uday Joshi, National General Secretary, Sahakar Bharati issued the following statement –
“Sahakar Bharati along with the cross section of the Coop Sector had desired that National Cooperative Union of India Election, scheduled to be held on 23rd Nov, 2020 be unanimous.”
“Keeping the above in view, Sahakar Bharati withdrew its Candidates from Constituency Ref. 14 (A)(V) reserved for State Federations, Associations and Multi State Cooperative Societies in larger interests of the Co-operative Sector”, they statement read. “We congratulate all successful Co-operators”, it concluded.
