According to media reports, CID sleuths have arrested Sanjay Kumar Dalmiya, the main accused in the scam of Rs 36 crore done at Jharkhand State Cooperative Bank from Hirpaur in Bardhaman district of West Bengal.
After the complaint was made against the Dalmiya for indulging in disbursing the fake loans from the Saraikela branch of the bank, CID officials kept him under watch for several months and finally raided his house. Dalmiaya was not at home at the time of the raid.
Meanwhile, on the basis of secret information and technical research, the CID team got the news of Sanjay Dalmia hiding in Bardhaman in West Bengal. Following the tip off, , the police team reached the spot and arrested him, reports say.
