NAFED Government Nominee Ashok Thakur met BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda last week at his Delhi office and informed him about the activities of the agriculture cooperative.

Thakur said he apprised the BJP President about exemplary work done by us during the lockdown in the interest of farmers. I also discussed the ensuing NCUI election with the Shri Nadda, said Thakur.

During the lockdown in the first quarter of this financial year, Nafed earned a gross profit of about Rs 290 crore and the agri co-op has done exemplary work under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY), claimed Thakur.

Sharing the details through social media Thakur wrote, “Met Bharatiya Janata Party National President J P Nadda. Informed him about the work done by NAFED and apprised him of the elections of National Cooperative Union of India”.
