HT reports the cybercrime cell of the Pune police has returned Rs 8 crore to scores of victims of cyber-crime including cooperative societies. Cosmos Cooperative bank has received Rs 5 crore.
Cosmos Cooperative bank had suffered a major cyber heist attack on its servers.
The cybercrime police is quoted saying a number of institutions including cooperative bodies have lost huge amounts of money in online frauds.
