Biscomaun Chairman Dr Sunil Kumar Singh received a hero’s welcome when he returned to Sonpur-his area of influence. Residents of Sonpur- where the world’s biggest cattle fair is held were eager to welcome him.
Organized at Arush Garden Sadhu Gacchi in the town, the local ward councillors, leaders cutting across party lines and apolitical citizens turned out in large numbers to greet him. A garland as large as his popularity was put around him to mark the occasion.
Overwhelmed by the peoples’ response Sunil promised to do everything possible to help solve the issues of the area. “I have tried to help you also as Biscomaun Chairman and now with my entry in Council I would raise your issues before the House”, said Sunil.
It bears recall that Sunil had been active at personal level distributing masks, sanitizers, biscuits and even cash for the needy during the lockdown period. His videos to this effect had gone viral earlier.
