The Pioneer reports NCDC will give a loan of Rs 3,340 Crore for cooperative farming, dairy development, horticulture development and fisheries in Uttarakhand.
Uttarakhand cooperative minister Dhan Singh Rawat says the state govt. has formed a ”state integrated cooperative development project” to carry out this massive scheme.
The minister says the objective of the project is to create self-employment opportunities in the state.
Official sources say the department would distribute 10,000 cows to 3000 milk producers under the scheme to speed up dairy development in the state.
