Poteru Large Area Multipurpose Cooperative Societies’ Dhaneswar Patnaik in Malkangiri district in Odisha has been suspended for his involvement in a scam in procurement of groundnuts, reports The Pioneer.
Patnaik was suspended after LAMPS Administrator Samal Marandi received complaints against the former from farmers.
A source says further investigation is underway and those found involved in the irregularities would be punished.
