TRS wins maximum PACS elections in Telangana

Asserting its supremacy in cooperative elections as in electoral politics, TRS swept most of the seats of PACS, elections for which were held last Saturday.

Out of 904 PACS, TRS candidates first bagged 157 PACS seats without any resistance and in the remaining 747 PACS also mostly its candidate won.

Being the first state in the country to begin cash-subsidies to farmers, TRS has proved once again that its clout with farmers cannot be weakened so easily.

“Heartfelt thanks to the farmers of Telangana for giving yet another resounding victory”, tweeted RS working president and IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao.

“With these numbers, the ruling TRS is set to bag the chairperson posts of all District Cooperative Central Banks (DCCBs), for which elections will be held in the next three days”, writes the daily the New Indian Express.
