The New Indian Express reports Odisha Government has asked Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS), Large Area Multipurpose Societies (LAMPS) and Farmers’ Service Cooperative Societies (FSCS) not to let out their office premises to private organizations or individuals.
Registrar of Cooperative Societies has instructed all Divisional Deputy Registrars of cooperative societies and circle Assistant Registrars of cooperative societies not to give the buildings on rent.
Sources say, in many cases cooperative bodies were not able to realize rents and get rid of occupants.
