There is speculation in political circles that Chairman of Kolhapur District Cooperative Bank and former NCP Minister MLA Hasan Mushrif is likely to get ministerial responsibility in the new government.
This has led to the discussion about appointment of a new chairman in the Kolhapur DCCB. Mushrif is the member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Kolhapur’s Kalal assembly seat.
It bears recalls in the last election Hasan Mushrif was elected as the President and Oppi Patil as the Vice-President. Under the leadership of Mushrif the bank has performed well.
The new government is expected to take some decision about reforming the cooperative movement.
