Batting for the Kozhikode based ace labour cooperative ULCCS, IG Police of Kochi has said that the ULCCS is an accredited State government agency and there is no reason for anyone to doubt its credentials, say media reports.
IG said while responding to a controversy which erupted after the ULCCS developed an application to make it easy for the public to access various services offered by the law enforcement through smartphones and tablets.
Leader of the Opposition Ramesh Chennithala demanding an inquiry into the alleged breach of data security in the name of passport verification, reports the daily Hindu. The application is yet to be used, informed the IG. He said the ULCCS’s role ended with the development of the software.
