The Assam govt suspended Pradip Kumar Talukdar an Assam Civil Service officer working as a secretary in the cooperative dept for being involved in a land scandal, reports Hindu.
The land scandal broke when Talukdar was Deputy Commissioner, Karimganj.
The govt. move followed his arrest by the state police.
The compensation money that was bungled by Talukdar related to a central govt’s project at Sutarkandi.
