Afternoon Voice reports Shiv Sena leader Anandrao Adsul has scame Rs 900 crore of 91,000 account holders of the City Cooperative Bank in Mumbai. Shiv Sena leader’s assistant has also cheated 91,000 account holders spread across branches in the city.
A parliamentarian from Amravati says that the 91,000 account holders can only withdraw Rs 1000 from their accounts lacks justification. The cheated account holders include pension holders, small shopkeepers, and mill workers.
Informed sources, however, say as the state govt. is committed to protecting the interests of account holders the authorities have no choice but to take strict action against the scamsters.
