Uttarakhand Registrar of Cooperative Societies Bal Mayank Mishra (IAS) inspected the records of Haridwar District Cooperative Bank last week.
Additional Registrar Ira Upreti and Deputy Registrar Man Singh Saini accompanied Mishra. The cooperative functionaries found irregularities in the distribution of loans and recruitment during
the former management. They impounded some of the records for further examination.
Recently in a meeting held, the Board of Haridwar DCCB Bank decided to take action against the bank managers who lent loans to the farmers without due diligence. The NPA of the bank is about Rs 49 crore.
Pradeep Chaudhary, GM Kamal, Director Susheel Rathi, Surendra Singh and others were present during the inspection.
