“Cooperatives have always given a considerable importance to education and training for – be they members, elected leaders, employees or potential members. The essence of the cooperative movement lies in empowering its members and elected leaders by conducting regular training programs through a well-established education and training structure critical to the success of cooperatives”, declares loftily a press release issued by NCUI.
The press release informs that NCUI’s educational arm NCCE recently conducted a 5 day Trainers’ Training Program for the Cooperative Education Personnel of State/District Cooperative Unions which was attended by 21 personnel from all over the country.
The program was designed keeping in mind the nature of the job of education personnel and hence various subject experts covered topics ranging from project preparation & implementation, writing articles/press releases and developing case studies.
The training also aimed at the international trends in cooperative education & training, latest techniques of audio-visual aids, implementation of GST, programs and schemes of Warehousing Development & Regulatory Authority (WDRA) & National Backward Classes & Financial Development Corporation (NBCFDC) to adult psychology.
In his valedictory remarks, Chief Executive NCUI, N Satyanarayana urged participants to study the problems & challenges of grass-roots cooperatives in their respective areas and submit their reports to NCUI for onward submission to the concerned ministries.
Satyanarayan appreciated the role being played by the Junior Cooperative Training Centers in remote parts of the country in educating cooperative leaders, members as well as employees and assured them of assistance from NCUI for conducting collaborative programs as also strengthening their infrastructure.
A half-day field trip to a few historical sites in Delhi was also organized keeping in mind their first visit to the national capital.
The program was coordinated by Mrs. Sandhya Kapoor, Dy. Director, NCCE/IT. The participants found the program extremely rewarding.
