Maharashtra based Latur Urban Cooperative Bank is also one of the victims of the beleaguered Videocon Group which has taken loan from both public and private banks.
Luckily, Latur Urban Co-op bank is the junior most lender having loaned close to Rs 33 lacs. The Group is said to owe more than Rs 90,000 crore and has qualified as the biggest loan-defaulter case in the country so far.
The case of Videocon is in NCLT and the Company still claims that it is capable of repaying through its oil assets. State Bank of India is the biggest lender.
