The president of Bolangir District Central Co-Operative Bank Laxman Kumar Meher has quit Congress fold just before the Lok Sabha elections, reports Odisha Sun times.
Along with him, former Congress’ Bolangir district president Bhagwan Bagarti and seven party workers also tendered their resignations ahead of the 2019 elections.
He was Congress’ poll candidate from Bolangir in 2009 Assembly elections. He had lost to Biju Janata Dal (BJD)’s Ananga Udaya Singhdeo.
