As against over 21 lakh names already uploaded on the farm loan waiver portal , which was announced by the Ashok Gehlot government, so far 29 lakh farmers in the state have already applied for the centre’s Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi PM-KISAN ) scheme, reports Nyoooz via TOI.

“Forms of 29 lakh farmers have been received on the Rajasthan state cooperative department’s portal. Around 1.15 forms have already been uploaded on the website of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme”, it claims.

Of the total, 25 lakh forms have already been sent to the Collectors for verification,” said Neeraj K. Pawan, registrar, cooperative department.

Gahlot, the CM of the state, however said that the scheme would not help Modi win the Lok Sabha elections. Gehlot also reminded Modi that the state government was giving higher pension to the farmers.
