NCCE of National Cooperative Union of India recently organized a three day training course at its headquarters in New Delhi, for up-gradation of knowledge and skill of chairpersons and women directors of cooperatives.
The aim was to refresh and hone their leadership skills by educating them on various aspects of governance like cooperative ideology, conducting meetings, role of media, business development through creating visualisation, use of IT, understanding financial statements of a society etc.
In addition sector-specific relevant topic like role of Rashtriya Mahila Kosh in development of women cooperator was also discussed at length by experts.
The programme was attended by 39 elected board of directors from many states i.e. Assam, West Bengal, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra across the country.
Inaugurating the programme Dr. V.K. Dubey, Director NCCE stated that we take pride in the fact that India’s cooperative movement is the largest in the world with more than 8 lakhs societies which are engaged in spreading inclusiveness by working tirelessly for all strata of the society.
Appreciating the honesty and sincerity of women in leadership positions he also urged to all the participating women cooperators to get an in-depth understanding of their cooperative societies to enable them to succeed.
The programme was well-received by all the participants who found all the topics relevant and well planned. Certificate of participation and group photograph was also distributed among the participants.
