The 14th M.R.Pai Memorial Award, instituted by the Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative Bank (PMC Bank) was bestowed on Kherwadi Social Welfare Association for its flagship program – Yuva Parivartan at Seth Walchand Hirachand Hall, 4th Floor, IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry premises, Church gate in Mumbai last week.
The M R Pai Memorial Award is given to the outstanding Activist/Journalist or Social Organization for their significant contributions towards the betterment of citizens.
The award given at the annual event held in Mumbai consisted of a cheque of Rs 2.50 Lakh and Citation. The award was presented by Chief Guest Dr. Ashima Goyal – Professor IGIDR & Member EAC-PM to Mr Kishor Kher – Founder of Kherwadi Social Welfare Association.
Sardar Waryam Singh, Chairman of PMC Bank, Gita Pai, Dr. Ashima Goyal, Kishor Kher, Mrinalini Kher, Arvind Doshi, S.S. Bhandare, President, AIBDA & Joy Thomas, MD of PMC Bank and others were present during the event.
