Dilip Mathak a board director of Bassein Catholic Cooperative Bank is reported to have killed himself. As no suicide note has been found, the Vasai police are investigating the matter.
His body was recovered from his home in Pachubandar, Vasai West.
Police sources say he was a prominent man in Vasai who headed several social organizations and enjoyed reputation as a very friendly person in the area.
