The cooperative giant IFFCO retained its position in top 10 by securing 8th position in the list of unlisted companies unveiled recently by Business Standard.
The largest producer of fertilizer in the country IFFCO had to beat several corporate giants including Godrej, Food Corporation of India (FCI), IBM and even Flipkart India to be in this position.
Those ranked above IFFCO included BSNL, Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam, Huyndai Motors and others. Last year IFFCO got the 7th position in the list of unlisted companies.
Tweeting on the issue IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi wrote “Moment of proud as #IFFCO has retained its position in Top 10 slot of Unlisted companies of #India in recent list of BS1000 of companies by the prominent publication. #IFFCO ranked number 8 in the list. Congratulations to everyone, #coops & #farmers.”
