Taking time out from his busy schedule, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi went to meet Union Agriculture and Cooperation Minister Radha Mohan Singh to convey his thanks to the Minister for his support in the co-operative titan’s Golden Jubilee celebrations.
Singh had taken part in some of the Farmers’ Campaign shows organized by IFFCO thoughout the year across states. IFFCO also organized farmers’ meet in Motihari –Singh’s hometown in which the busy minister took time off to participate, recalled a senior IFFCO cooperator.
Tweeting about the meeting Awasthi wrote “Today met Shri Radhamohan SinghJi @RadhamohanBJP Hon’ble Union Minister Of #Agriculture and #Farmers Welfare on occasion of #50yearsofIFFCO thanking his contributions for growth & development of #agriculture in the country. #IFFCO will keep on working for the benefit of #farmers”.
The two leaders also discussed various agri issues being faced by the farmers of the country. IFFCO MD apprised the minister of various measures initiated by IFFCO for the benefit of farmers.
It bears recall that besides soil testing and agri-related initiatives IFFCO has also launched massive health awareness campaign through its e-bajar spread across states.
