Nabard Chairman Harsh Kumar Bhanwala met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and discussed the ways and means of strengthening the cooperative credit delivery system in Uttar Pradesh, among other things.
Apart from meeting ruling politicians, the Nabard chief also met top functionaries of cooperative banks. In all his meetings, he explained how the goal of doubling farmers’ income could be achieved.
Bhanwala is also believed to have discussed climate issues of the state with the Chief Minister. He said he would support the state in tackling climate problems and promoting infrastructural development, reports UNI.
Over 30 districts in Uttar Pradesh have been identified as areas prone to ecological problems.
