Sahakar Bharati President Jyotindra Mehta and NCUI Chief Executive N Satayanarayan met the newly appointed Additional Secretary Ms Upma Srivastava in Krishi Bhavan on Monday and apprised her of the preparations for the Laxmanrao Inamdar celebrations slated for September 21 in Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi.
Ms Srivastava who had been recently empanelled for Additional level post in the GOI has joined the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ welfare as Additional Secretary. She would look after the co-operative division.
The 1988 batch IAS officer from Sikkim, Ms Srivastava was earlier Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
“She is new to the Ministry and has joined just 3-4 days ago; she wanted to know the things”, said Mehta after meeting her in Krishi Bhavan.
NCUI Chief Executive N Satayanayan who was also in the meeting said ”she wanted to know all the details related to the function and we apprised her of our preparations so far”.
