The cooperative giant IFFCO retained its Business Standard’s ranking this year too. It maintained its rank at the 7th position again this year in the list of unlisted companies. IFFCO is the largest producer of fertilizer in the country
To achieve this position IFFCO beat several corporate giants including Godrej, Food Corporation of India (FCI), IBM and even Air India.
Those ranked above IFFCO included BSNL, Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam, Huyndai Motors and others. Last year too IFFCO ranked at the same place in the BS rating.
Soon after the news broke a jubilant IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi tweeted” Happy & Glad to share with you that #IFFCO has retained it’s 7th position in ranking of Unlisted Companies in #BS1000 by @bsindia for 2016.”
MD who is on a tour contacting farmers across the nation is also eager to promote IFFCO’s products during such trips. On each location he ensures exhibition of different IFFCO products from fertilizer to agri tools to insurance schemes.
It serves the dual purpose of -acquainting the farmers with our different products and doing business for the growth of the organization, said an IFFCO official. .
