Indian Farmers Fertilisers Cooperative Limited (IFFCO)  paid a dividend of Rs 4.15 crore to Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED) for the year 2010-11.

The cheque was received by HAFED Managing Director Anil Malik from IFFCO Zonal Manager (North) RR Raander in Chandigarh on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Malik said that IFFCO being a reliable body to supply DAP and Urea in the state to meet farmers’ need for manures and fertilisers, HAFED had proposed a short-term agreement to the IFFCO.

Raander assured him that IFFCO would explore possibilities for the short-term agreements so as to further strengthen business relations. Malik said HAFED has set a target of selling more fertilisers as compared to last year.

During Kharif season, HAFED would supply 2 lakh tonnes of DAP and 3 lakh tonnes of urea. Apart from this, it had also been targeted to keep stock of 5 lakh tonnes of urea and 4.5 lakh tonnes of DAP during the year to meet the shortage of fertilisers. Courtsey:PTI
