We have regd cooperative society regd with Registrar Cooperative societies Panchkula Haryana.
One seat is reseved for sc but no candidate contested in elections.
Can the seat of sc be filled with general category candidate?

Proviso to Section 28 of Haryana Cooperative societies Act 1984 reads:
Provided*** that at least one member belonging to the Scheduled Caste and one woman member shall also be represented through election in every committee of a co-operative society in the manner prescribed
“AT LEAST One member should represent members belonging to SC.” This requirement cannot be waived unless no member of the Society belong to SC. If no SC member come forward to join the Committee then that Committee is not constituted as required under Law.
